Here are some of my favorite PC tools, Programs I install after a reload that I couldn't do without.
Winrar archiver, probably the most widely used archiver. Powerful fast and free!
PowerISO Mount and make ISO/DVD files.
Mozilla Firefox it's always good to have a second browser loaded in case one breaks.
Google Chrome My current favorite web browser, light fast and simple. use --incognito mode and it auto kills cookies/history.
AVG Anti virus suite, they have a free edition too.
SuperAntiSpyware Great anti spy anti scumware scanner.
MalwareBytes Another great anti scumware application, This is the one I use most of the time.
Quickbooks quickstart, Intuit Business accounting and this versions free 2009
Miranda Free and very low memory usage message app, works with ICQ, IM, LIVE, YAHOO! etc.
Quicken online Home accounting software free version
Gimp Ported from linux to windows, this is a really good graphic or photo editing program.
OpenOffice alternative to Microsoft office, it's free and is fairly compatible with MS Office. This is changing to subscription soon, so the free version may not be available.
SimpleD budget, a simple free budget tool, so you can quickly check or create your monthly budget.
